( votes)Summary
A lot of hard work has gone into the making of this film and it is obvious on some level but there is no massive tension or crisis which should have ideally been the case.
Thematically sound and technically precise, Vizhithiru is a movie that you can go for on a weekend for stress relief, and I can assure you that it will do its part without fail.
We have all found ourselves waiting silently, lurking in that cozy couch when the trailer of Vizhithiru came on television.
We were curious and just waiting for the story to unravel. The trailer, very promising and very mysterious just accentuates our interest in this movie.
With a very impressive cast – Vidhaarth, Kreshna, Venkat Prabhu, Sai Dhansika and others the much hyped and talked about film releases today.
Read this article to find out if it’s worth it, or if it’s just another predictable and one dimensional Kollywood movie.
An interesting plot
The plotline is definitely multi dimensional as so many strands are minutely and remarkably incorporated into the story.
Four different stories find a confluence because of their definitive circumstances. All the four stories are varied and seemingly bear no relation to one other.
But what happens when they finally come together? What is the outcome when all these plot lines are converged and make one harmonious and unified whole?
The outcome is what the story is about and if this stirs your interest you should definitely watch it right away.
Ensemble cast
Although we have ample evidence of great performances by Vidhaarth and Dhansika previously, it seems they have somehow failed to deliver a soul stirring performance in this movie.
They haven’t been utilized to their fullest potential and that is what brings the movie down.
Venkat Prabhu’s performance was pleasantly neat; Kreshna too couldn’t act well in the immensely emotional frames.
But the major turn off was that of the story of Rahul and Erica’s. it was a demanding story and their acting didn’t meet the demands adequately.
They fail to make an impact. Thambi Ramaiah’s comedies are shallow and lose their charms on the major part of the audience.
Reasons why it doesn’t live up to the hype
The item track placed in such a movie kills it a little. Once you are in the theatre you will realize the song is very out of place.
They could have done without it. The film on the whole fails to connect to the audience.
As a result they might feel strangely alienated and uninterested because they don’t care about what’s happening on the screen, which is immensely sad for a content-driven film like this.
A film replete with potential. Mind boggling scenes are less and the movie seems very wry and artificial.
Although the film is very well scripted, it falters real bad when it comes to the execution bit.
A lot of hard work has gone into the making of this film and it is obvious on some level but there is no massive tension or crisis which should have ideally been the case.
The screenplay motion is less than engaging and a lot of sequences and dialogues lack plausibility.
The cinematography is nonetheless amazing, certain frames are just flawless. Sathyan Mahalingam’s music is good too.
Thematically sound and technically precise, Vizhithiru is a movie that you can go for on a weekend for stress relief, and I can assure you that it will do its part without fail.
Although superficial on a lot of levels, it does everything to keep it from falling apart.
And besides we all need superficiality sometimes. How else are we going to face a superficial world? Happy watching!
