In today’s PopView series we have Vaishali Subramanian, a camera person.
Before working in movies as a camera person, she has worked in media too.
Apart from being a camera person, she has also been a director for short films and ad films. One of her short films happened to be an award winning film in 2005.

#3 Before working as a DOP in movies, you have handled camera in media. What is the difference between handling camera for movies and doing the same for media programs?

#5 As a DOP, how much should you be involved in a movie? Do you listen to the script and make shots as per director’s requirements in the sets and/or locations? I guess that’s not enough. So tell us about that!

#8 There aren’t as many women behind the camera as there are men. What are your thoughts on this?
