Summary
Overall, Kaithi is one of a movie that you need to watch yourself to experience it.
There are a few negatives to the movie which you can conveniently ignore. Do watch Kaithi if you want a unique action thriller experience.

Kaithi is true to what it believes. Karthi has believed in Lokesh Kanagaraj for his script.
And Lokesh has believed in Karthi on his performance that would sit right well with his script.
Further, with the trailer, the audience believed in Lokesh and Karthi to get a fresh breath of air, raw movie that would strike well with them.
All the boxes have been checked, and Kaithi lives up to the expectations.
Kaithi is about Dilli who steps out of the prison on Parol and is very eager to meet his daughter.
Meanwhile we have a team of cops who have successfully seized drugs under the head of Bejoy (Narain).
But the group of mafia men have took back on the cops by sedating them and leaving them helpless.
To put the situation in control, Bejoy puts his thought in Dilli and tries to involve him in the situation.
Now Dilli, who is very eager to meet his daughter is caught up in a chase between the cops and mafia men.
The entire movie is what happens in a single night and it adds to the uniqueness of the movie.
The screenplay doesn’t deviate a bit from its focus on the core plot and that’s a BIG plus to the movie.

We don’t have an unnecessary heroine, a romance track, a comedy track and forced mass moments!
Every frame in the movie is what the script demands for.
Every frame moves the script forward, and delivers us what’s needed without any stagnation.
It is highly a positive thing that Lokesh establishes us the whole plot in a highly condensed manner during the first half an hour or less.
And that puts us in the right amount of expectation for what we have signed up for.
The movie is raw and we have quite some fight sequences, some a little stretched.
But that is a negligible thing, considering what we are being offered on screen.
Karthi is terrific as Dilli and he emotes brilliantly – both in the emotional scenes and the mass moments.

There are not many mass build ups for the star, however when there is one, that sits pretty well without sticking out like a sore thumb.
Karthi even emotes well with his eyes and that is beautifully connected in an emotional manner to his daughter. We can call that director’s touch.
Overall, Kaithi is one of a movie that you need to watch yourself to experience it.
You definitely will get a raw action thriller experience that is a breath of fresh air.
Since the screenplay is tightly focused you get an awesome action thriller that has all the elements in place.
There are a few negatives to the movie which you can conveniently ignore. Do watch Kaithi if you want a unique action thriller experience.
